Vintage 1950s brooch of a large insect featuring bright pink, red and blue glass stones set into a brass tone metal. The brooch is secured with a roll over clasp.

The body of the piece is most likely 1930s as this style was created at this time in Bohemia, although the stones are from the 1950s and there is evidence of repair or adaptation on the back of the piece. A truly unique brooch.

The brooch measures 7.6cm / 3" in length and 3.5cm / 1.3" at the widest point.

CONDITION

The piece is in good vintage condition, the stones are secure. On the underside of the piece there is evidence of repair or alternation done it a different coloured metal.
