This is a very nice quality pair of 1950s era brown kid leather gloves made in France.  The gloves are marked “Made in France Real Kid Washable WPL 9111”.  The WPL numbers pre-dated RN textile numbers and were issued between 1941 and 1959.  WPL 9111 was issued to Shalimar Vanity Gloves Inc. of New York City - they would have acted as a distributor and importer of these gloves.  They are silk lined, very luxurious.  They look to have seen little, if any, use - in very nice condition, please ignore the highlights caused by photo lighting.

Size: They are stamped as a size 6 1/2, but please rely on the following measurements.  They have a length of 14 7/8” to the middle finger.  They measure 3” across the palm - although there is some stretch, please be aware of this measurement, perhaps measure another pair of gloves that you may own.  The middle finger measures 3 1/8” in length.  

This is a wonderful pair of vintage gloves, very nice quality with silk linings!
